MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas!
I hope everyone had a very merry christmas and was not stuck in some snowed-in airport across Europe!
Thomas and I spent Christmas in Temora, a small country town about 1h away from Wagga-Wagga. We are staying with my friend Kristy and her family. We had a great Australian Christmas experience. Night out on the pub for the 24th, with all the men getting very rowdy after a few drinks (we saw one guy pull staples out of his arm! don't know how they got there in the first place...). On the 25th, well, it was a difficult wake-up call for me after that night out but I got over it faster than I thought I would :) We opened Santa's presents then had a big lunch - ham, potato salad, coleslaw, salad and lots and lots of shrimps. It was a really beautiful day. Santa must have thought we were particularly good this year because we received many great gifts. Thank you Santa!
Today is boxing day and we're going to head to my friends' boyfriends' farm to spend Christmas #2 with his family. We'll also take that opportunity to visit the farm, see the cattle etc.
After that Christmas break, we may be going to pick onions in Griffith for a few days.
Oh, almost forgot to mention. We thought they only lived in the north of Australia but on our way to Temora we crossed the path of these fellas:
